The purpose of the present research is to analyze the individual and social aspects of the concept of politeness in the Quran and its educational functions. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach, using the library data collection method, inductive qualitative content analysis method, and using a three-stage coding system for data analysis. The findings show that politeness is generally mentioned in the Qur'an and can be explained by the centrality of man's relationship with God. These politeness behaviors include: the courtesy of thanking God, the courtesy of obeying divine commands, the courtesy of attending holy places and places of worship, and observing the courtesy of a certain time. Social politeness behaviors in the Qur'an also briefly include: a. Politeness towards divine saints, b. Courtesy towards parents such as thanking and praying for them, giving to them, obeying and getting permission to enter the parents' house c. Etiquette in society, such as hospitality etiquette, hospitality etiquette, conversation etiquette, etiquette in interaction with neighbors, and etiquette of a student in interaction with a teacher. According to examples and applications of politeness in the Holy Quran, the educational functions of politeness are also a. modeling b. Enhancing the relationship between man and God C. Enhancing the feeling of self-worth d. Promotion of personal identity e. Promotion of family relationships and. Promotion of social identity and Promotion of human social interactions.
