English

Life is the most precious divine gift, and ‘goodly Life’ (Hayat-e Tayyibah), is the highest rank of human life, which elevates the human spirit and leads to true felicity. The term Hayat-e Tayyibah appears only once in the Holy Qur’an, in Surah An-Nahl, verse 97, where it is defined based on faith and righteous deeds. The present applied research, conducted using a descriptive-analytical method, seeks to explain the ways to attain goodly life (Hayat-e Tayyibah), with an emphasis on the teachings of Imam Hussain’s (AS) of Arafah prayer; Therefore, topics such as the concept of goodly life (Hayat-e Tayyibah), its most important characteristics, and the verses and concepts within Imam Hussain’s (AS) Arafah prayer related to achieving this life have been examined to establish a roadmap for humanity’s journey toward absolute perfection. In this library-based research, information was gathered through note-taking and summarizing written sources, and the compilation of materials was done through qualitative analysis. Based on the results of the research, some of the ways to achieve Hayat-e Tayyibah mentioned in Arafah prayer include: a monotheistic perspective, achieving theoretical and practical Tawhid (monotheism), longing for the Divine Presence, accepting the guardianship (Wilayah) of God, the Prophets (AS), and the Ahlulbayt (AS), contentment, and satisfaction with God and His destiny. The research findings indicate that the solutions proposed for achieving goodly life (Hayat-e Tayyibah) in Imam Hussain’s (AS) Arafah prayer are consistent with the teachings of the Qur’an, which identifies faith and righteous deeds as the foundations of Hayat-e Tayyibah, and they help humans reach a pure life.
